Nu Couche is the painting of nudes by Amedeo Modigliani who was an Italian painter. This painting has been kept in exhibition for several times. It is made on canvas and oil paints are used while coloring it. The first time this painting was kept at the Galerie Berthe Weill which was first art show of Modigliani.

Nu couche depicts the modern thoughts of the artist. This painting was sold to Chinese businessman Liu Yiqian at a Christie’s New York sale for $170,405,000 on 9th November, 2015.

They were sold to Gustave Samuel de Rothschild who was a French banker and later, they were put in an exhibition at Rijksmuseum in the year 1956. Each of the paintings was sold for 160 million euros in the year 2015 to Louvre Museum and the Rijksmuseum.

The painter used the theme of 17th century. One version of The Card Players was purchased by the Royal Family of Qatar for $250 million which is now $266.2 million in present day.
